Ya Gotta Love Arkansas

I was raised in Arkansas; it’s the only home I ever remember until I moved to Memphis for graduate school in 1981. I saw this bumper sticker on a car in a parking lot this past weekend at the lake. I wonder what they would say in Idaho?

  1. A glass of wine will definitely be indicated – let's do it!

I do love that she'll be in Conway and my sister's son is also going to Hendrix, and they'll be in the same dorm, actually four doors down! I can handle the co-ed dorm thing, knowing that her cousin — a great guy — is close by.

It's strange the way it tears at the emotions – so happy for them, but sad at the end of an era – at the same time excited about new things it brings to my life. I'm just a big ball of conflicting emotions these days :)

I am right there with you, sister. Take both girls to fayetteville on the 15th. Caroline and I went to the Pink Palace yesterday, have been to Jerry's together a few times, are going to Stax museum and will end our summer at Heber as well. I keep hearing Joni Mitchell's Circle Game playing in my mind… or as Bob Seger said, Turn the page.
btw- Kate is in Conway for an internship this summer and has loved it. Let me know if you need any info. Nice that it is close to Heber and my parents in LR.
Let's get together and celebrate/mourn over a glass of wine! Darilyn
