I took this in Orlando last week, as we were leaving Disney’s Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM).

Watching the Fourth of July fireworks at Greers Ferry Lake is a family tradition; we get out on the boat, watch the sunset and enjoy the fireworks over the lake. I always take pictures, but it’s hard because I don’t really know what I’m doing (Jim had to come back to Memphis for work) and don’t have the camera set up correctly to really capture the fireworks. But I have managed to get some pretty cool shots.

During the summer, we love our weekends at Greers Ferry Lake in Arkansas, in the foothills of the Ozarks. It’s just a little more than three hours away from our home and even though the drive is long, it’s well worth it for the sheer unspoiled beauty of central Arkansas. Each year, I try to get Jim to take me out on the lake to watch the sunset. We just stop the boat in the middle of the lake, listen to the sound of the water and watch the sky change colors. I took this one last year, sometime in July.
